The works in this exhibition take shape through sustained observation and a constant questioning of perspective. The project set off with a collective wandering through Sai Ying Pun, where the team sought out overlooked materials and investigated how their meanings shift for each observer. One street, multiple gazes. The team gathered the findings and continued this inquiry within their daily practices.

The street speaks in many voices. Halley Cheng examines the projections placed upon bodies, animals, and plants. He reflects on social norms and control through the absurdities of the realities. Ka-Man Leung ventures into back alleys, using whimsical narratives to rewrite memory. Adopting a dual persona of human and ghost, she tracks unclassifiable marks left on skin and walls. Yuk-Cheung So, inspired by the practice of derive, rethinks the directional signs that guide movement in the city, offering a subtle resistance to the governing structures.
